Kick it for Lifeline
Kick it for Lifeline is a community mental health campaign delivered by Lifeline North Coast in partnership with North Coast Football and 24 football clubs across the NSW North Coast.
When you call the Lifeline 13 11 14 number we train and facilitate the local team of highly skilled volunteer Crisis Supporters who answer these calls. Lifeline North Coast’s call centre contributes towards Lifeline’s nationwide Lifeline crisis support line.
Lifeline is committed to training as many people as possible in our community to be equipped with the skills to recognise the signs of people who may be in crisis, at risk of suicide or domestic violence, to know how to respond, and to be fully informed on how to refer for professional help.
Volunteers are vital to our shops and to our community & fundraising events. When you volunteer, donate to or shop at a Lifeline North Coast shop, all proceeds raised directly support the operation of our local crisis call centre.
Every $39 spent saves a life
Lifeline North Coast is a locally-based, not-for-profit organisation proudly serving the Coffs Coast and surrounding regions for over 35 years. As an affiliated centre of the national Lifeline network, we are committed to supporting Australians in crisis by contributing to the 13 11 14 24-hour Crisis Support and Suicide Prevention service.
From our base in Coffs Harbour, we deliver services throughout the Mid and North Coast of NSW — from Nambucca Heads and Bowraville in the south to Yamba in the north. Our team is supported by a dedicated network of volunteers, including trained Crisis Supporters and a volunteer Board of Governance.
Grief after suicide is often complex and isolating — this group offers a safe, compassionate space to connect with others who truly understand.
Would you like to join us at Lifeline North Coast at the frontline in our mission to raise awareness about suicide prevention and to develop crucial life-saving initiatives for our North Coast Community?
There are many ways you can make a difference in your local community by getting involved with Lifeline North Coast. Whether you want to give your time, share your voice, or offer financial support, your contribution helps us save lives and support people in crisis across the Coffs Coast and surrounding regions.
Every day, our local crisis supporters provide that connection to people across the Coffs Coast and Mid-North NSW who are experiencing distress, isolation, or suicidal thoughts. Our work is part of a national effort to prevent suicide, but the impact is felt right here — in our towns, our neighbourhoods, and our homes.
We are proud to be one of 41 Lifeline Centres across Australia, and we work closely with Lifeline Australia and our fellow centres to deliver the 13 11 14 crisis line, training programs, and community-based mental health support.
Each year, over 1 million Australians reach out to Lifeline for support.
Lifeline’s crisis support line receives a call every 29 seconds.
Lifeline’s network of 41 centres, 10,000 volunteers, and 1,000 employees provide a lifesaving national infrastructure for those experiencing immense pain and anguish.
There are 3,500 crisis supporters working with Lifeline so that no person in Australia has to face their toughest moments alone.

It’s not that I don’t think of him (I do, every day). I’m just trying to avoid the pain that is now attached to those memories. I have to remind myself that this pain was not there at the time these memories were made though.
