In Memory of Tom, Mark and other truck drivers who have died by Suicide
The 2nd 'Grinding Gears Burning Diesel' LLNC Truck Convoy will commence in Woolgoolga with trucks driving down the highway arriving at the International Sports Stadium car park. The BBQ will be a cookin' and the trucks will be a truckin' allowing Coffs residents to come together and connect with our essential trucking community.
The truck convoy will leave Woolgoolga at 9am and arrive at the stadium by 9.45. Local support services and activities for families will run until 1pm. All proceeds will be directed to Lifeline North Coast.
Support Eno and Lifeline North Coast
In 2021, Ian “ENO” Taylor felt the deep impact of losing his colleagues Mark Haines and Tom Seccombe. Both had died by suicide. Both fellow truck drivers, Eno wanted to do something to raise awareness that truck drivers needed help and support and encourage others to speak out and seek the help when they need it so no other families would have to go through this.
Eno, decided to organise the first local convoy of trucks, reaching out to his network in the local community and within weeks the simple act of making a difference became an event with over 102 trucks joining the convoy on the day.
Eno wanted to do even more and became a Lifeline North Coast Ambassador. It is now one year on and Eno is organising an even bigger 'Grinding Gears Burning Diesel' Lifeline North Coast Truck Convoy to keep the memory of Tom and Mark alive and to continue to raise awareness of suicide prevention.
